About the company

DoorList is seeking a talented Software Engineer to join our Engineering team in New York, NY. This is an in-person role in our NYC office. We are a Seed-stage company with 6 employees and more than $3M in funding from top VC funds and angel investors

DoorList is filling the void in social networking by creating a platform of the things you do and the people you do them with, starting with campus events and group communication. We allow users to manage their social calendar and enable hosts to quickly and efficiently create events and communicate with members. Our product brings people together on campuses across the country, improving the event and communication experience for clubs, greek life, athletic teams, and more. Since inception, DoorList has facilitated more than 1,000,000 total invites

Responsibilities

  • Drive the continued development of the DoorList mobile app
  • Collaborate with our design and growth teams
  • Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code
  • Architect and implement scalable solutions for our growing user base
  • Stay up-to-date with new technologies and trends in the industry
  • Be a voice in our overall product roadmap

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science (or related field), or evidence of exceptional technical ability
  • 1-3 years experience in a Software Engineering role, or evidence of exceptional technical ability
  • Knowledge of Python and Javascript
  • Experience with basic database management
  • Familiarity with Dart (Flutter) or a similar language preferred but not required
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
